When Friends Wane…
Why is it that when you have a circle of friends that they become like the phases of the moon? They’re always there, but their presence waxes and wanes like the cycles of the moon. Sometimes there are even brief and short periods when you don’t even see them, or their presence isn’t as visible as it used to be; however, then the waxing and strength in which they are a part of your life becomes stronger and more prevalent. And on the flip side, there are times when they seem to be so far away, that they virtually don’t exist.
Mind you, I know that sometimes life can deal them or you something you weren’t expecting, but; is that a real reason to completely shut yourself off from them? Shouldn’t they be held even closer to help you if you should need them? I know I would say yes! But there are others who sometimes just don’t feel that way I guess; something of a sad affair in my opinion, but, who can tell anyone to do anything other then what they feel they need to, or want to; or even should I suppose.
Recently, one of my dearest, practically family, friends has told me just that…that I should get used to her not being around so much. Who says that? I mean, I would sort of expect this from someone who is maybe expecting to die in a short while as something to ‘protect’ the other, but as far as I know, that isn’t the case. So, I ask again; “Who says that?”
So, in my last conversation with her, I told her just that; that this is me getting used to her not being around as much anymore, if at all.
So, to my dearest friend, whom is like family; my petite soeur…see ya around
Thanks for reading, hold your friends close.
